The Board of Management manages the school on behalf of the Patron and is accountable to the Patron and the Minister of Education. The Board must provide for an appropriate education for each pupil and uphold the ethos of the school. The Principal is responsible for the day-to-day running of the school and is accountable to the Board. Each Board of Management serves a four years term and our current Board will be in place until 2027.

The Board of Management meets regularly during each school year, where a variety of topics are discussed including current educational issues, budgeting, curriculum, policy development, employment and forward planning. We’re very grateful to the volunteers who make up our Board of Management. Without their commitment and dedication the school would not be able to run efficiently and effectively.

Board of Management Members

The Board of Management is made up of the following eight members:

    • Two direct nominees of the patron
    • The Principal of the school
    • One other serving teacher elected by the staff of the school
    • Two parents elected from parents of children who are enrolled and have commenced attendance at the school (one mother and one father)
    • Two community nominees agreed by the representatives of the patron, teachers and parents
